All-Knighters
The All-Knighters are a team composed of seniors and freshmen. The seniors, having the most experience out of everyone on the team, simultaneously design, build, and code a robot with the freshmeen, while also teaching them the fundamentals of robotics.
Two Teams
Together, our two teams collaborate, sharing advice, resources, and experience, while also maintaining separate identities and design processes.
Knight-mares
The Knightmares are a team composed of juniors and sophmores. With most members having prior experience with robotics, all members are able to fully take part in the design process, and collaborate to build the robot.
How Our Team Works
Each team is split up into 3 different sections, build, programming, and outreach. Each section has their own responsibilities. It is common for members to be on more than one subteam.
-
Build
This team is responsible for actually building the robot, the build teams creates CAD models of the robot and takes the time to assemble the robot together and fix flaws that may exist with the build -
Programming
This team is responsible for programming the robot, once the robot is built it must be able to react from user movement. The programmers use Java and kotlin to make the robot interactive and controllable by a phone -
Outreach
Building robots is expensive, the non-tech is team is responsible for outreach with other companies to gain funding to build the robots, and attend the competitions. They are also responsible for everything else that is not related to build or programming.
Some of Our Mentors
Our mentors provide advice in all aspects of FTC: from build, to programming, to outreach.
We have gained invaluable experience because of their help.
